A modern location in San Giovanni area, consists of 3 rooms (2 bedrooms and 1 living room), a kitchen equipped with all appliances and a balcony.

Each room has a private bathroom and you can choose between the lilac room with double bed, the green room with double bed and the yellow room with sofa that, if necessary, converts into a French size bed.

Casa Rubino offers its guests bed linen and towels, washing machine, iron and ironing board, air conditioning, free fiber wi-fi..

There’s a table for 6 people and the pantry is equipped with tea, coffee, sugar and salt.

The House

Casa Rubino is located on the ground floor of a building with access from a private garden. The apartment is central, convenient services and away from traffic noise.

Nearby there are bars and restaurants with typical Roman food,

Public services (metro and bus) are close to the house (metro – Line A – Re di Roma and San Giovanni stops).

For those who reach us by car it is possible to book a private garage on request.

Where we are

The apartment is located in Via Etruria in the San Giovanni area, a few steps from the metro A, Re di Roma station – famous and central square with all kinds of services ( supermarkets, fast food, restaurants, pizzerias, bars, clothing stores, ATM) – and via Appia Nuova, one of the most popular shopping streets in Rome.

It is only 500 meters from the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, two of the four oldest basilicas in Rome, both major tourist stops.

It is also a short walk from the Via Sannio Market, very popular in Rome, and from Pompi in Via Albalonga, a famous coffee shop and pastry shop known for its delicious tiramisu.

The Terme di Caracalla can be reached in a few minutes, as well as Colosseo and Fori Imperiali which are 15 minutes away on foot but can also be reached by metro or bus 87.

The apartment is easily accessible from both airports (Fiumicino or Ciampino) and Termini Central Station is 4 metro stops away.

Metro Line A lets you reach Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, Vatican City.

From Roma Termini railway station
Walking 200 meters, came to the metro station “Roma Termini” then you must take the metro line A (orange) in the direction Anagnina, go 4 stops and get off at “Re di Roma” (the subway runs every 3 minutes).
Then walk 600 meters to Via Etruria, # 27.
Distance: 3700 meters

The minimum required stay is 3 nights and the maximum stay is 30. The City of Rome asks for a tourist city tax per person per night to be paid at your arrival. Rates change according to period, number of nights and number of people. In fair days or in any case of high demand, minimum stay, rates and conditions may vary. Bed linen and towels, air conditioning and heating are included in the price. We do not provide any kind of service such as cleaning or linen change during your stay.

    Getting around in Rome

    If you visit Rome for first time, we suggest not to be transported by car. Transported to Rome by car is often difficult due to heavy traffic. If you have arrived by car, Casa Rubino has a discount in a private parking located in Pomezia Street 6, located 200 meters from home, where the guests of Casa Rubino have a preferential rate of 15 Euros per day, the parking is open all day from 6:00 am until 01:30 am. For more information it can offer during reservation.

    From the Casa Rubino is very simple to move without a car: in fact is located near bus stops and metro (ATAC) that are very comfortable.

    METRO

    Casa Rubino is 200 meters from the station “Re di Roma” in line A of the Orange color, this line runs through the capital of Nord – East to South – West, with stops at stations or major points of interest tourism and links to “San Giovanni in Laterano” railway station “Termini”, Plaza “Barberini” Fountain of Trevi, plaza of Spagna, Plaza of Popolo, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums.

    The doors of the metro is open from 5:30 and the service usually ends at 23:30 from Monday to Thursday and Sunday, Friday and Saturday at 01:30 for more information visit www.atac.roma.it

    BY BUS

    Albalonga Street (2 minutes walk) Line 87 links to “San Giovanni in Laterano”, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, Largo Argentina-Pantheon, Senate, Constitutional Court, Castel Sant’Angelo.

    Albalonga Street (2 minutes walk) Line link “Gerusalemme Santa Croce I”, railway station termini, National Library, University, Policlinico, railway station “Tiburtina”.

    You can find three types of Atac entrance tickets that can be found in all types of sales of tabacco, editions of daily post and in the subway stations.

    Casa Rubino whether as found in the heart of Rome is in the center, you will be able to access within minutes to anywhere you want in all major tourist attractions.

    The house

    A modern location, practical and functional, finished in the summer of 2014, can host up to 4 people.
    There’s a double bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, wi-fi, tv, air conditioning, underfloor heating, garden, parking, independent pedestrian entrance, alarm system and video surveillance.

    It is an apartment with wide spaces and full of natural light, has a living room with a sofa – which if possibly turns into  a single bed – the kitchen equipped with appliances, tableware and small attentions for guests such as ground coffee, sugar and tea. You enter the bedroom through two openings overlooking the living area. The double bed is comfortable and cozy and 4 pillows are available. There is also a comfortable chaise-longue that if necessary becomes a single bed.
    The bathroom also has two entrances, one from the living area and one from the bedroom.

    It is an apartment designed for short stays, on the ground floor of a single house with enclosed garden, in a very quiet area and soundproof. The comfortable private parking within the property allows you to leave your car at home and walk in the city.

    The city

    The city:

    Leaving the house you can reach in a few minutes the ancient walls and Parco Querini.
    The park, very beautiful to visit, with animals and health path, is close to the hospital San Bortolo and inside the walls, is surrounded by the waters of Bacchiglione and Astichello rivers and the Venetian walls along Viale Rodolfi.
    Behind the house are the urban gardens and the charming non-Catholic cemetery.

    We personally take care of the house and welcome our guests. We provide advices on the city and it can happen to share an aperitif, because if it is true that in London the tea marks the day, in Vicenza it is definitely the wine (or the spritz) to act as a common thread.
    At “aperitivo” time the little Palladian architecture jewel that is Vicenza lights up: bars, taverns and cicchetterie come alive and become a must, as much as the Teatro Olimpico, Villa Capra (better known as the Rotonda), Palazzo Chiericati or the Palladian Basilica. A place, this one, anything but sacred: once a center of meetings and business, is now mostly an exhibition venue and has not stopped being the beating heart of the city. A meeting place (like any Venetian tavern) with the Gioello Museum and the famous Bar Borsa right under the loggias, the terrace of the Basilica and the many crowded bars in Piazza delle Erbe.
    Everything only 15 minutes walking from Casa Rubino.

    CONNECTIONS:

    The area is well connected also thanks to its proximity to the hospital (entrance via Ridolfi – emergency room side).

    For this reason we advise you to consider it the main point of reference whether you decide to reach us by car or by train.
    In the latter case, from the station you can take the Line 2 bus.
